9. Being the last to arrive means missing the bus ...

The company OY DYNOS from Helsinki – which already represented our Wire Weaving – also took over representation of the Machinery Division after the Second World War.

The company rapidly became successful in the building materials and minerals industry.

The company’s junior, Arno Gerbaulet, was a very cheerful character and popular with everyone. He was always a source of cheer and good humor at representatives’ meetings.

As such, he was usually one of the last to leave the hall. This was not always without consequences. He once missed the bus that was supposed to take the representatives to a potash plant near Hanover the next morning. What to do? Mrs. Engbert from the hotel of the same name knew what to do and quickly got him a cab to overtake the bus on the freeway. He finally succeeded in doing so just before Hanover. His fellow representatives had a lot of fun and willingly lent Arno Gerbaulet the money to pay for the cab.
