Design options using colour with HAVER Architectural Mesh
The transparency of metal wire mesh facades allows natural ventilation and lighting. One can usually dispense with costly ventilation systems: this not only lowers energy costs but also makes a positive contribution to preserving the environment. We adapt the open surface of the metal wire mesh in such a way that project-specific requirements on aeration and ventilation are fulfilled.
Due to its precisely balanced open surface, the metal wire mesh filters sunlight and thereby contributes to a pleasant cool but also light indoor climate. Particularly in summer, the structure of the wire mesh achieves, for a high angle of incidence of the sunlight, an effective shading effect and significantly reduces warming of the building. Therefore the substructure can be far less extensive in comparison to façade claddings with framing solutions: in order to take up the significant loads arising due to pre-stressing, wind and ice, just a load-bearing substructure for the upper and lower fastening points is required. The intermediate fastening required in the area of the floor ceilings can be designed for significantly lower (horizontal) loads. You reduce the maximum loads applied to the substructure as well as possible deflection of the wire mesh.
We deliver your metal mesh for facades ready to install, including all fastening equipment and assembly instructions. Once mounted, facade claddings made out of stainless steel wire mesh needs very little to no maintenance.

Illumination of metal wire mesh facade cladding
Stainless steel wire mesh has fascinating reflection characteristics due to the material used and the structure of the wire mesh. With wire mesh illumination in freely selectable colours you can use this potential and immerse façade cladding made out of wire mesh into dynamic colourful cloaks of light.
Illuminated wire mesh facades made out of architectural wire mesh are the optimal combination of a transparent stainless steel facade by day and a pulsating cloak of light by night. During the day architectural wire mesh in direct sunlight exercises a special fascination: Transparent wire mesh facades appear partially opaque due the reflection of light and continuously change optically to something new according to the position of the sun.
The mesh illumination also uses this effect during the night and awakens the facade with LED illumination. In doing so it is possible to install the LED emitters under the stainless steel wire mesh, either partially or completely over the whole width of the facade. In darkness a static wire mesh facade becomes a dynamic cloak of light which permanently changes according to the viewpoint and movement of the viewer.
Production of the colourful facade cladding by means of pulsating colour and light compositions is individually programmable. From the multi-faceted colours of light in the RGB colour space through to dynamic white light, the creative freedom is unlimited. For example, you can immerse facades completely in one colour or illuminate them with individual light effects.
