Wire mesh and hybrid mesh for the designers amongst you
Attention to detail and the desire to stand out from the crowd are prompting more and more buyers to choose exclusive furniture, lamps and other design products. The joy of stylish and high-quality vehicle interiors is also immediately apparent to car lovers. This joy is a great challenge for the interior designers, who are always on the lookout for new visual impulses as well as haptically appealing and valuable materials.
We present diverse facets
A range with different patterns and materials
We weave the design mesh entirely from stainless steel wires or from a combination of metal and coloured PET monofilaments.
Different weave types allow for a wide variety of surface structures and patterns that make an impression:
- Open-transparent or closed-tight.
- Varying appearance depending on the angle of view.
- The homogeneous surface is not only visually but also haptically appealing.
Colourful accents in a vehicle interior
And the hearts of drivers beat faster
Our design mesh offers impressive surfaces and is thus ideally suited for the design of decorative elements. These lend elegance to the vehicle interior and are light and sound permeable at the same time. Depending on the mesh pattern, you can achieve a pleasantly calm or even ambitiously sporty atmosphere in this way.
The combination of stainless steel wires with black or grey accents underlines the classic elegance, while natural tones reflect the calm atmosphere of nature.
The results of testing by the certified testing institute Imat-uve now demonstrate the low organic emission values of the design mesh and therefore its harmlessness in terms of effects on the health of passengers. Above all, the results of the fogging behavior and the thermodesorption according to VDA 278 are significantly below the general limits of the automotive industry.
Fogging behavior describes the condensation of volatile material substances that could result in contamination of the air in the vehicle interior or even fogging of the windshield. In addition to the emission tests, the burning behavior and abrasion resistance of the metal wire and hybrid mesh were also investigated. The wire mesh blanks also achieved positive test results with regard to these parameters - irrespective of the subsequent material composite.

Technical data sheets
Descriptions, dimensions and mechanical properties
We would not like to deprive you of the article number, material, weight and mesh thickness, but also the yield strength, maximum load and elongation of the individual design mesh types. We will be happy to provide you with the technical data sheets of our 1st Collection and the STRUCTURA FLAIR Collection for viewing and downloading.
Optimisation measures
Complete fabricated part, cut to size or roll material?
We will gladly accept your wishes and also optimise the design mesh according to your further processing steps and processes.
What you may not have known yet:
- Metal or hybrid mesh (monofilament) becomes back-injected and bonded by fleece lamination. The thermoforming capability and the possibility of translucent backlighting are retained.
- Thermal treatment improves the malleability of the mesh.
