Your (filter) task is crucial
Mostly thermoformed parts have a curved or conical shape depending on the function or installation situation. The fabricated parts receive this through thermal pre-treatment of the wire mesh. They can be designed with one or more layers, and the choice of wire mesh specifications depends on the filter medium and the filtering task.
In addition to the recesses, the design of the edges is also one of the possibilities for further processing. We explain the following edgings in more detail under filter discs and wire mesh pieces:
- Separate edgings
- Beading
- Plastic overmoulding
- Edge zone compression
Hybrid elements
Metal wire mesh meets plastic injection moulding
In addition to exclusively metallic filters and moulded parts, we also produce hybrid elements. Plastic overmoulding (e.g. with PA66 or special plastics) makes this possible:
- The shaping of three-dimensional semi-finished products from woven wire cloth.
- The integrated sealing of a filter.
- Protection against sharp-edged fabricated parts.
- The simple assembly of the finished filter or fabricated part.
One application - multiple functions
An example from electrical engineering
Did you know that our woven wire cloth covers have been protecting the electronic components on microphones from external influences for well over 50 years?
And not only that:
Here, the wire mesh simultaneously ensures better sound distribution and optimum acoustics.
Wire mesh in practical use
Would you like to learn more about the use of wire mesh in electrical engineering and electronics?
We would be pleased to introduce you to the functions, advantages and different product solutions made of and with woven wire cloth.
