Your search for a flat, robust and, above all, precise filter - whether round or square - has come to an end. The respective application and function are decisive for the form and design. We will be happy to support you in defining these. Thanks to well coordinated production processes you can rely on the high quality of the required components, even for demanding wire mesh types.
Contours
Technically, almost anything is possible
The contours of our stampings correspond to your wishes and requirements:
- Round, rectangular, square, kidney-shaped, trapezoidal or oval.
- Do you need a special shape? We are also gladly ready and able to build the appropriate stamping tool for this.
Note:
Depending on the quantity and size (a diameter of 2.5 mm or even 5 m), filter discs and wire mesh pieces are produced using different cutting processes.
The variety of materials for woven wire cloth is also reflected in the metallic edgings of the predominantly round stampings and sections. In addition to stainless steel and steel, non-ferrous metals such as aluminium or copper are also used if required.
The compression of the edge wires of a filter disc causes these wires to be securely fixed. Compared to simple circular blanks, the so-called flanged sieves can be separated and are therefore particularly suitable for automatic further processing. Edged parts are punched in a single operation, if required also deep-drawn and compressed (3 in 1). In this way, we can produce the highest possible number of pieces in a short time and also reliably meet economic requirements for the product.
Edged parts are used here:
- water tap
- powder inhalers
Single and multi-layer filter elements are combined by means of edge zone compaction. This is possible without additional joining processes, increases the stability of the fabric and prevents cross-flows.
Pressed filter layers, so-called pressed parts or pellets, are characterised by surface compaction.
Pellets are used here:
- Control cabinets
- Gas measurement sensors
- Synthetic fibre production
- Electromobility
The statement from this customer shows impressively that the use of our wire cloth often makes new product developments possible! In this specific case, a gearbox manufacturer asked us to develop an oil filter for the DL382 dual-clutch gearbox that retains all foreign particles in the suction oil filter and does not need to be replaced thanks to a pleated surface. The challenges involved were already known to the client. But knowledge about our product diversity and our solution competence encouraged him to entrust us with this task.
